The Art department at ISU is committed to providing a programme of study that will develop students’ understanding of art making practices. Studying a wide range of artists, artefacts, and artworks from a variety of cultural influences and time periods will inform students’  exploration of media, techniques and processes essential to creating artwork that is both visually and conceptually strong. Across the grades, a continuum of learning will ensure students are equipped to succeed in Visual Art at IGCSE and IBDP level. The critical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills developed in Art are transferable to a variety of other subjects such as English Literature, History and Theory of Knowledge and will stand our students in good stead.
